12/27/2017 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Session 2 Kiana has an athletic appearance, is a vocal leader, and displays her love for the game at all times on the field. Behind the plate, Kiana gets to her blocking position well and receives the ball well in the center of her body. She also makes accurate throws to her target. Offensively, Kiana has an open stance and takes a short stride to contact. She loads well and has a fluid swing. She stays balanced throughout her swing and stays connected with her hips/hands. Kiana has explosive bat speed and takes a direct path to contact. She makes hard contact and works well up the middle of the field. Overall, Kiana will continue to improve on all of her skill sets and what she learned at camp to take her game to a new level.
11/05/2017 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Kiana is a 2022 C with a balanced skill set. In the box, Kiana is a RHH that uses a tall stance with centered balance. She creates smooth rhythm with a back load. She is a consistent line drive hitter that consistently squares up the ball. Creating a weight transfer with her lower half will allow her to generate more power in her swing. Behind the plate, Kiana is an agile player that moves well to block. She receives with sure hands, makes a clean exchange and with a quick release she makes accurate throws. Keeping a quiet glove will allow her to stick pitches in the zone. Overall, Kiana is a young player and with continued hard work she will be able to take her game to the next level.
