06/24/2013 - Softball Factory World Series Kira continues to develop as an athlete. Her willingness to learn and make adjustments sets a tone on the field. As a C, she has an idea of the position and possesses confident glovework. Continuing to focus on an athletic set up, fluid footwork when blocking, and communication will increase position awareness and efficiency. As a 1B, she has basic fundamentals that assist her on the field. Continuing to focus on arm strength/slot, confident glovework, fluid footwork, and an athletic field positioning will increase fielding success and efficiency. As a hitter, she has a balanced set up and a basic understanding that produces contact. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the zone, utilizing the lower half, rhythm, and timing will increase power and efficiency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Kira continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
04/07/2013 - College PREP - Long Island, NY Kira is a developed athlete. As a C, she has a consistent, accurate arm slot with life on her throw, soft, sure hands when receiving, good blocking skills, and agile range. Focusing on a smooth transfer from glove to hand and a balanced stance will increase successful blocking and transfers on throwdowns. As a hitter, she has a strong, short bat path and produces contact to all hitting fields. Focusing on bat extension after contact, implementing a stride and load, and driving the barrel through the hitting zone will increase power and consistency. Overall, Kira is on track for collegiate attention.
