01/18/2019 - 2019 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Kirsten has earned herself Softball Factory Pre-Season All-American Rookie honors for the second year. Kirsten proved to be a leader on and off the field. She is a coachable player that works to put coaching into game play. On the mound, Kirsten is able to stay composed through tough innings. She is an off-speed pitcher and works to get ahead in the count. Working to create leg drive will allow her to see more velocity and movement on the ball. In the box, Kirsten has a confident approach. She is able to fight through tough counts and is able to put the ball in play. Working to shorten her stride and keeping her weight back will allow her to see more line drive production. Overall, Kirsten is hard-working player that will continue to take her game to the next level.
08/18/2018 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Kirsten is a strong, compact two-way player who is currently more advanced as a position player. She shows a smooth, clean delivery that is repeatable and allows her to control the ball around the zone. She features a four-pitch mix including a FB in the low 50’s, a changeup with late fade and two breaking balls with good break. She can throw any pitch in any count and extends through release to get late action and finish on her pitches. At third, she has a good pre pitch routine to get in an athletic fielding position and has quick feet to move laterally to field. She presents her hands to field and has quick hands to get rid of the ball. At the dish, she shows a square setup with a strong stride to launch and extend through contact. She shows a line drive approach and makes consistent contact to all fields. More use of her lower half will lead to hard contact and more extra base hits. Kirsten is an intriguing prospect we look forward to continue following.
01/12/2018 - 2018 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Kirsten is a coachable athlete with good composure in the circle. She has a calm presence and extends through her release. Kirsten has fluid arm action and works hard to stay ahead in the count. She mixes her change up and rise ball to keep hitters off balance at the plate. Offensively, Kirsten has good bat control and load in her swing. She has a good eye for the strike zone and got some key base hits during game play. Kirsten has pop to the pull side of the field. Overall, Kirsten is a young athlete that will continue to grow and improve on each part of her game.
