01/18/2019 - Softball Factory Prospects Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Kirsten returns for the Softball Factory Prospects Spring Training event. Kirsten is dedicated to the game and continues to make improvements to her skill set. On the mound, Kirsten works hard every pitch. She is willing to ask questions and works hard to make game time adjustments. She shows good control of her pitches and is confident to put hitters away. At 3B, Kirsten is an athletic player. She handles the routine play and shows good range. Kirsten makes a clean transfer, has a quick arm action and makes accurate throws with carry. Adding ladder drills to her workouts will help her quicken her footwork. In the box, Kirsten is a RHH with a strong bat. She shows good pitch recognition and is aggressive with pitches in her zone. She is a consistent gap hitter that is able to hit the long ball. Seeing the ball deeper in the zone will allow her to hit to all fields. Overall, Kirsten has a strong skill set that will allow her to have success at the collegiate level.
12/20/2017 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Session 1 Kirsten is a 2020 RHP with a balanced skill set. On the mound, Kirsten has a good presence and can field her position. She uses a 4-pitch package which she is able to command in the zone. She is aggressive and works to get ahead in the count. Kirsten has confidence in her change up and is able to throw it has a consistent strike. She throws a good mix of her pitches; which allows her to keep hitters off balance. Working on her leg drive will allow her to see continued increases in her velocity and movement. In the box, Kirsten is a RHH with a strong bat. She uses a square stance with centered balance and short stride. She creates fluid rhythm, makes hard contact and works all fields. She shows good pitch selection and hops on good pitches early. Working to extend through the ball will allow her to see continued success at the plate. Overall, Kirsten is an athletic player with the tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
