03/24/2013 - College PREP - Rochester, NY Kiwi is a talented young RHP with an advanced feel at the plate. In the circle, she displays a full arm swing with forward hand position in an athletic stance with smooth rhythm and tempo throughout her delivery. She keeps her shoulders level, stays in line through an athletic finish and has a developing feel for changing speeds while pitching to contact. She will benefit from getting coached up on how to properly use her body to execute certain pitches, which will allow her to increase movement and velocity making everything a little sharper. At the plate, Kiwi uses a square set up with a back load, long stride and keeps her weight back before launching her short swing to and through the zone. An aggressive hitter, she makes solid contact, generates explosive bat speed and is consistently on time to hit with a strong lower half. To further develop, she will benefit from staying through the ball as long as possible to improve extension after contact which will ultimately improve power production and overall quality of contact. Overall, Kiwi has a very coachable approach and should have little trouble making constant improvements to her game as she matures, continuing to seek quality instruction.
