07/21/2014 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Kristina is a talented C and OF with a well balanced skill set. Defensively, she understands both positions well. As a C, she relies on her fundamentals as she blocks various balls. Continuing to work on receiving skills, a more controlled approach, and a quicker release to improve efficiency. As an OF, she communicates well and made adjustments well. Continuing to work on confident glovework and reads off the bat to improve range and efficiency. Overall, Kristina wants to become a better athlete. As a hitter, she keeps her hands back and balance centered before producing contact. She shows potential for power and will benefit from utilizing the lower half, stronger wrists, and timing to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Kristina has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
