10/14/2012 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Kriston is an aggressive slap hitting SS with a solid approach. Defensively, she has athletic actions and tracks the ball well off the bat, taking good angles to the ball with playable footwork. Her hands are effective and will be better as she works to soften them. Kriston has a throwing arm that shows some carry and will benefit from keeping her feet active pre pitch and adjusting her fielding position to get her hips lower and her hands further out front. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load before slapping the ball hard to the pull side. She drives to the pitcher well and should consider working lower to improve eye level and tracking ability. Overall Kriston needs to continue to play hard, seek quality instruction and commit to a useful drill package to further develop.
