01/26/2019 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Kya is a 2020 right handed first baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she stays low through her backhand and is short in her action to the ball. She has a strong base at first and makes accurate throws to her target. She keeps her throws on line and is smooth in her release. She stays low and square to the ball and fields out front creating good momentum through each play. Offensively, she has a tall and open set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She has fast hands through the zone and makes hard contact up the middle. Overall, Kya has a great work ethic and if she continues to work hard, she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
