02/05/2017 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Laken is a 2019 outfielder with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Laken has quick, fluid footwork and shows good range in all directions. She takes good angles to the ball and read the ball well off the bat. Laken is athletic in her fielding position and present her glove well. She has a clean exchange to throw and has fluid arm action. Laken also works with her momentum well and makes accurate, on-line throws to her target. Offensively, Laken is athletic in her setup and takes a soft stride to contact. She is smooth with her timing in the box and stays balanced throughout her swing. Laken swings hard through the zone and hits with a firm front side. She is a strong athlete, has quick bat speed, and squares the ball up nicely. Overall, Laken is a great athlete that will only continue to get better and work on what is needed to take her game to the highest level.
