Defensively, she fields using sure hands, makes quick, accurate throws with excellent arm strength and moves well laterally to various balls. Working on staying in an athletic fielding position when throwing will help her to improve transfer time. Overall, Lauren is aggressive and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load and keeps her balance centered before launching to the ball with a level swing. She shows good power to the pull side and will benefit from a stronger top hand to improve power on contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Lauren has a good frame for the position at 5'9 and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
