03/30/2014 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Lesly is a freshman second baseman with an advanced skill set. Defensively, Lesly has an athletic pre pitch setup and fields the ball out in front. She receives the ball with soft and sure hands and transitions smoothly into her throwing position. Lesly has a quick release and an accurate arm when throwing to the bags. She has fluid footwork and agile range and does a good job of moving side to side. By staying lower to the ground when fielding a backhand, Lesly will be able to increase her backhand range. Offensively, Lesly bats from the left side of the plate. She uses a square setup and a short stride to make a positive move to the ball. Lesly is an on time, aggressive hitter that maintains centered balance through contact. She has quick bat speed and a level swing which leads her to consistently make hard contact to both sides of the field. Overall, Lesly is a hardworking, tough player that will continue to prepare to play at the next level.
