10/06/2012 - College PREP - Salt Lake, UT Lexi is an athletic 2B with an advanced offensive approach. A slap hitter, she uses a tall, athletic set up with a back load, no stride and centered balance before launching to the ball. She has a strong, consistent bat angle and her rhythm allows her to be on time and center the ball up with advanced bat control. She stays through contact with good extension and should focus on keeping her head on the ball and staying heavy on her back side and light on the front foot to improve balance and ability to drive the ball. As a 2B, Lexi does a nice job of keeping the ball in front and tracks the ball well off the bat. To further develop, she will need to adjust her level and play lower at the hips as well as stay low to throw while improving angles to the ball. Overall, Lexi's offensive game is ahead of her defense at this time but will improve with continued work on her fundamentals.
