02/16/2015 - College PREP - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Lexie is a 2018 1B with a developing skill set. Defensively Lexie has an aggressive approach and works hard to get in front of the ball. She shows active footwork and does not hesitate to step up to the play. Adding a pre pitch to her approach will allow Lexie to get a stronger first step to the ball. She has soft/sure hands and makes a quick transfer while making accurate throws across the diamond. In the box Lexie works hard to pick out pitches in her zone. She displays a closed stance with on time rhythm. Generating good barrel accuracy Lexie is able to consistently put the ball in play for her team. Incorporating a stride and load into her swing will allow Lexie to create good weight transfer and ultimately see an increase in her power production. Over all Lexie is a coachable player with a great passion for the game.
