09/15/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Henrico (Richmond), VA Lila is a 2024 right handed catcher and first baseman with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she has a square catching position and receives the ball with soft hands. She needs to work on hiding her catching stance so that she can have more balance in her lower half. At first base, she makes routine plays and keeps an over the top motion in her throws. She needs to work on playing more on the balls of her feet rather than her heels so that she can create more range in her defensive abilities. Offensively, Lila sees the ball well to her barrel and makes contact. She shows good pop to her pull side but tends to only use her arms. If she uses her lower half more throughout her swing she will produce more power in her contact. Overall, Lila has a great attitude and works hard.
