10/11/2015 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Lindsey is a 2017 SS that is consistent player who continues to improve her game. In the box Lindsey is RHH that uses a square stance with good balance and on time rhythm. She has an activated load, takes a direct route the ball and generates good bat speed. She has a good approach, shows good hand-eye coordination and is a gap-to-gap hitter. She is able to put the bunt down when needed and also able to work opposite field. At SS Lindsey has an athletic presence and communicates well with her teammates. She is a natural leader and is ready to take charge on the field. She has a fluid pre-pitch, uses efficient footwork and plays thru the ball. She has a strong arm and makes accurate throws with carry to her target. Overall Lindsey is an athletic and versatile player with the tools needed play at the collegiate level.
01/17/2014 - 2014 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Lindsey is a freshman third baseman that was selected to play in the Pre-Season All-American game. Offensively, Lindsey uses an athletic and square set up. She uses a leg kick to shift her weight to her backside and to get to her stride position. Lindsey has an explosive lower half with a level swing path, which leads her to making square contact. She is a consistent line drive hitter with fluid rhythm and timing. Overall, Lindsey is a hard worker that will continue to develop as a player.
10/23/2013 - Ronald McDonald Tournament - 16U Lindsey returns to SF for another PD event as a talented, well-balanced 3B. Defensively, she fields well with sure hands, an aggressive approach with efficient footwork and fields out in front. Working on double play feeds will help her to improve position awareness. Overall, Lindsey is talented and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses an athletic set up with a smooth load, centered stride and explosive hips before launching to the ball to produce consistent line drives. She shows good power and will benefit from staying tall in the box and allowing the ball to travel to improve power on point of contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Lindsey is a coachable and eager player and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
05/11/2013 - College PREP - New Orleans, LA Lindsey is an extremely talented young 3B with an advanced skill set on both sides of the ball. Lindsey is a soft sure handed defender with fluid footwork and agile range. She keeps her feet active pre pitch, is an accurate thrower with carry and will benefit from following her throws with her feet. She is very good on both sides of a double play and shows extremely sharp instincts with a real understanding of her responsibilities as a SS. At the plate, Lindsey uses a square set up with a back load, short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. An aggressive hitter, Lindsey consistently hits the ball hard, displays solid timing and keeps her barrel through contact well to create extension. She should continue to work on the load/stride phase of her swing to simplify and make easier to repeat, the double tap stride is very hard to do on time over and over but it's possible. Overall, Lindsey is a true talent with a world of potential if she continues to work hard, seeks quality instruction/opponents and is detailed in her preparation both at the plate and as a defender.
