12/27/2012 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Texas Logan is an aggressive and skilled athlete. We knew this from seeing her initially a couple of months ago, and she showed us again during the 4 days at the event. At shortstop/second base, she has a quick exchange, fluid footwork, and agile range that compliment her strong, accurate arm and tenacious presence. She shows a lot of athleticism defensively, but focusing on a smoother approach and softer hands will continue to enhance her skill set as a successful fielder. Her leadership skills and work ethic only enhance and encourage those around her and not only improved her game performance but her teammates' as well. At the plate, Logan is an aggressive hitter with a balanced swing, short bat path and quick hands that produce hard contact. Implementing a smooth stride/load, explosive lower half and extension after contact will increase her strength, consistency and efficiency at the plate. Overall, Logan's skill set, athleticism, work ethic and attitude are on track for major collegiate attention. Her enthusiasm, application and potential would be an asset to any college program. She is a player to watch.
10/28/2012 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Logan is an very talented young SS/OF whom plays the game the right way. As a SS, she plays through with soft, sure hands and fluid footwork that produces agile range. She communicates really well and has an all-around advanced skill set. She will benefit from raising her arm slot and having earlier glove position when going to her back hand side to eliminate her tendency to stab at the ball. As an OF, she tracks the ball off the bat well and plays through with good footwork to throw. She needs to use a longer arm path and a higher arm slot to throw from the OF more effectively, and should continue to communicate at a high level, always taking charge. At the plate, Logan uses an open stance with a back load, a short stride and keeps her balance centered before launching her short swing to the ball. She takes hacks while staying inside the ball and clearly has a plan in the box. She keeps the ball in the middle and should consider simplifying her stride and staying more square to eliminate any unnecessary movement. Overall, Logan has a ton of potential that is hard to measure because of how coachable she is. With her makeup, the sky is the limit for this young lady and she ought to have a close eye kept on her.
