12/11/2016 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Lucia is a 2021 RHP/3B with a balanced skill set. On the mound Lucia has a good presence as she gathers over the rubber, separates on time and has a fluid arm action. She uses a two pitch package with a fastball and change up. She does a nice job of working the strike zone and commanding her pitches. Working to maintain her arm speed on her change up will allow her to keep hitters off balance. In the box Lucia is a RHH that uses a square stance with good balance and on time rhythm. She uses her lower half well and does a nice job of hitting to all fields. Working to extend thru the zone will allow Lucia to see an increase in her power production and consistency. At 3B Lucia is a consistent player that handles the routine play well. She works to get in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Presenting her glove sooner and playing through the ball more will allow Lucia to cut down the distance to her target. Overall Lucia is an athletic and young player that projects well; with continued hard work and coaching she will have the opportunity to play at the next level.
