12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Mackenzie is an athletic right-handed pitcher that can also contribute offensively. On the mound, Mackenzie has exceptional control and command of her pitches. Her drop ball is her most dominate pitch and it stays low and breaks at the front of the plate. During game play, Mackenzie was confident on the mound and hit her spots well. Offensively, Mackenzie uses a square setup, short stride, and center balance to make an on time move to the ball. She has a smooth swing and makes hard, consistent contact. By working on hitting the inside half of the inside pitch, Mackenzie will become a more powerful inside hitter. Overall, Makenzie performed well in the game situations and is a very coachable and positive athlete.
11/23/2013 - College PREP - Savannah, GA Mackenzie is a talented young pitcher that has the ability to contribute not only on the mound, but offensively as well. While pitching, Mackenzie shows great athleticism and confidence. She has great commend of her pitches especially her screw ball. Mackenzie uses her body well, and will benefit from keeping her arm tighter to her body to create more velocity. Offensively, Mackenzie uses a square setup with a back load and long stride to make a positive move to the ball. Mackenzie is an aggressive hitter that makes solid hard contact. When Mackenzie creates some rhythm in her swing she will exude more confidence in the box. Overall, Mackenzie has many talents to contribute to the game, and making small adjustments will help her to continue to develop as a player.
