She takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind, playing through with momentum to her target. Range is a plus as she covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, she displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. She moves well laterally and shows off her athletic abilities on her double play feeds. At the plate, she continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (68 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach, spraying the ball to all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as she utilizes her lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Madalyn has potential with time and room to progress her game.
