06/21/2019 - College PREP - Waleska (Atlanta), GA Maddie is a 2023 catcher and outfielder with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has active feet and reads the ball well off of the bat in the outfield. She tracks the ball well in the gaps and positions herself well behind the ball to create solid momentum coming through each play. She is aggressive to the ball and stays light on her feet. Behind the plate, she is athletic in her set up and frames each pitch well in the zone. She gets over top of the ball well on her blocks and keeps the ball in front. Offensively, Maddie has a short stride to the ball and is fluid in her swing motion. She has fast hands through the zone and makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Maddie hustles hard and has great work ethic.
