12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Maddison is a solid, athletic left handed first baseman with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Maddison has a strong and accurate arm when throwing across the diamond. While fielding, Maddison has soft and sure hands with active and efficient footwork. She has an athletic fielding position with a controlled and on time approach. She has agile range when moving side to side and has clean, accurate feeds. Offensively, Maddison has an athletic setup with a centered stride and center balance. During game play, Maddison came up with many clutch hits and stayed inside the ball. By working on her hip rotation, Maddison can add even more power and aggressiveness to her swing. Overall, Maddison is a very coachable and athletic kid that will continue to develop and be prepared to play at the collegiate level.
10/20/2013 - College PREP - Raleigh, NC Maddison is an athletic L/L 1B with an advanced defensive skill set. She is an aggressive defender with a quick release, good footwork around the bag and a strong accurate arm. She has a good presence, communicates well and will benefit from having earlier glove position out front, playing lower and working from the ground up. At the plate, Maddison uses a square set up with no load or stride and has a short path to the ball before using the whole field with her contact. She has an obvious idea of hitting and will enjoy more success if she incorporates her lower half on every swing. Overall, Maddison should continue to work on both sides of the ball, but should put a little more emphasis on getting her offensive abilities caught up with her defensive abilities. When that happens she will be ready to receive collegiate attention.
