11/18/2018 - College PREP - Savannah, GA Madilyn Thomason is a 2020 athletic outfielder with a great attitude. She has quick active feet and reads the ball well. With her effective footwork she has agile range and is able to get behind the fly ball. Madilyn makes the catch with soft hands then uses a quick exchange and good crow hop to start her throw and finishes with momentum on her release. Her mechanics are very correct and with some added strength she will be able to be a big threat defensively. At the plate, Madilyn has a square stance and good load with a short stride. She creates good rhythm and keeps her balanced centered on contact. She gets on plane and has a smooth swing. She not only hits from the left side but slaps as well. She had a short direct swing as a slapper and with more extension through contact it will be a very effective tool. Overall, Madilyn has a developing skill set and is a very coachable athlete.
