12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Madison is a 2016 3B with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Madison has the ability to play multiple positions. She gives maximum effort to make plays for her teammates. She is aggressive and attacks every play with intensity. She uses proper footwork and has a fluid throwing motion. She needs to work on eliminating the flip in her transfer and work on using a more fluid action. At the plate, Madison does a lot of things right. She has great presence in the box, a square stance and centered balance. She has good bat speed and sees the ball well in the zone. Adding a load to her swing will help Madison to create a little more bat angle at contact and allow her to see more consistency in her power production. Overall, Madison is a talented player with skills that will transfer to the next level.
08/03/2014 - National Tryout - Albany, NY Madison is an athletic 2016 grad who projects well as a corner infielder. Her biggest strength is her hitting where she shows a nice line-drive approach from a closed stance. Madison does a nice job of setting her hands back into a loaded position, allowing her to generate plus bat speed and power. She shows excellent balance, both in her pre-pitch set-up and throughout the course of her swing. She has a short stride which allows her to keep her head still and make consistent, hard contact. As she's able to achieve better weight transfer and get her lower half a bit more involved, she will hit the ball with even more power. Defensively, Madison shows off a powerful, quick arm that translates well from the left side of the diamond. All of her throws were accurate to 1B. Her glove plays soft and she is sure-handed. With work on getting deeper into her fielding position and gaining more ground to her target with her feet, Madison will continue to develop into a solid infielder. Madison has a coachable demeanor and is willing to work hard toward her goals of playing college softball.
