06/20/2014 - College PREP - Savannah, GA Madison is a freshman third corner player with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Madison receives the ball out in front of her body with soft and sure hands. She has fluid footwork combined with agile range when moving from side to side. Madison has an accurate arm and gains ground when throwing across the diamond. By working to create a more athletic pre-pitch position lower to the ground, Madison will be able to react quicker as a corner player. Offensively, Madison uses an athletic setup and short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She consistently hits the ball hard. She maintains centered balance through contact and keeps her barrel on plane with the pitch. Madison will benefit from shortening up her swing and taking her barrel straight to contact, inside the ball. Overall, Madison is a young athlete that will continue to develop as a player.
