|
06/24/2013 - Softball Factory World Series Madison continues to develop as an athlete. As a RHP, she has a basic understanding of the position and her curveball is her best pitch. Continuing to focus on fundamentals such as leg drive, arm swing, hip motion, mound presence and demeanor, spins and snaps, arm action, and release point will increase accuracy, velocity, movement, and position awareness. As a 1B, she has a basic understanding of the position. Continuing to focus on arm strength/slot, staying down and through the ball, fluid footwork, and timely stretching when receiving put-outs will increase accuracy, range, efficiency, and position awareness. As a hitter, she has a basic idea of hitting and produces contact. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the zone, and utilizing the lower half will increase power and efficiency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Madison continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
03/24/2013 - College PREP - Rochester, NY Madison is an athletic RHP from the 2015 class. In the circle she features a full arm swing with forward hand position in an athletic stance with smooth rhythm/tempo throughout her delivery at times. She has solid in line direction through a complete finish and keeps her shoulders level throughout. She has a good feel for pitching to contact and is able to change speeds without sacrificing command. She has good mound presence and should continue to work on spins/grips to further develop. At the plate, Madison uses a closed stance with no load, a short stride and keeps her weight centered before launching to the ball. She makes hard contact and will do so more consistently as she shortens her swing and strikes the inside part of the ball to access the middle of the field. A strong hitter, she can drive the gaps and should continue to stay aggressive with both her hands and lower half. Overall, Madison is a solid young player with some natural feel for the game; she should continue to seek quality instruction and reps to ensure she is being properly pushed and to ensure her development progresses steadily.
