07/31/2019 - Softball Factory World Series - Prospects Maera is a 2022 right handed outfielder and shortstop with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has effective footwork and reads the ball well off of contact. She has a strong first step motion and comes through each play with solid momentum. She makes strong throws across the diamond and keeps the ball in the infield. In the outfield, she stays light on her feet but needs to work on tucking her glove when she runs for balls in the gaps so that she can create maximum range in her outfield abilities. Offensively, Maera is tall in her stance and comfortable in her hands. She has good rhythm in the box and stays fluid through her swing. She shows good power to her pull side and sees the ball well to her barrel. Overall, Maera is a great kid and has great work ethic.
