05/29/2014 - College World Series Select Training Maggie is a young shortstop / outfielder with a well-balanced skill set. At shortstop, Maggie has an athletic and low fielding position. She receives the ball with soft and sure hands in front of her body. Maggie has fluid and efficient footwork when moving from side to side. She has agile range with sure and quick feeds to the bags. Maggie also has a quick and consistent arm when throwing across the diamond. Offensively, Maggie has a square setup and smooth load before moving to the ball. She has an on time and explosive lower half, which helps her get pop off the bat. She is a consistent gap to gap hitter with home run potential. Maggie will benefit from working on going with the outside pitch. Overall, Maggie is a strong athlete that will only continue to develop as a player.
11/03/2013 - College PREP - Seattle, WA Maggie is a talented SS and OF with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, she understands both positions well. As a SS, she makes accurate throws, fields with sure hands and uses her natural athleticism to make plays. Working on backhand skills will help to improve efficiency. As an OF, she plays through groundballs well and makes accurate throws. Working on running in an athletic position will help her cover more ground when fielding. Overall, Maggie has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a short stride with a level swing to produce contact. She shows potential and will benefit from driving the hands through the zone to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Maggie has a good frame for the position at 5'7 and has solid athletic ability to help aid in the continued development as a player.
