12/27/2015 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Maggie is an athletic 2017 C who is fun to watch. At the plate, Maggie does a lot of things right. She attacks each pitch, makes consistent/hard contact, and has the ability to get to a lot of balls with power. She has excellent bat speed and use of her legs. She will benefit from keeping her upper body and back side tall. Behind the plate, Maggie is a hard nosed player. During the event she caught every game for her team and displayed endurance with her consistent blocking. She is hard working, mechanically sound, and a natural leader. She will gain more control and velocity by getting her hips turned better on pick offs. Overall, Maggie is a very talented player with even more potential. She will without a doubt benefit a collegiate program in the future.
08/16/2015 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Maggie is a 2017 C with a balanced skill set. In the box Maggie is a RHH that uses a square stance with good balance and on time rhythm. She has an activated load, takes a direct route to the ball and generates good bat speed. She makes consistent contact and is a line drive hitter that is to drive to the gaps. Squaring her stride and creating a weight transfer in her swing will allow Maggie to consistency in her power production. Behind the plate Maggie has a good presence and communicates well with her team. She presents a good target, looks the ball in and receives with soft/sure hands. She reads the ball well and reacts to balls in the dirt quickly. Creating more separation in her arm will allow Maggie to see more strength and carry on her throws. Overall Maggie is an athletic player and with continued hard work she will have the opportunity to take her game to the collegiate level.
