Defensively, she has active feet and range to both sides. She stays light on her feet both at shortstop and third base and creates solid momentum through each play. She has soft hands when receiving the ball and a clean exchange on her throws to her target. She is short in her action to the ball and keeps her throws on line to her target. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays center in her balance and squares up the ball consistently. She is balanced and sees the ball to contact really well. Overall, Makayla has a great attitude and will make a strong asset to a collegiate level team in her future.
