06/25/2021 - Softball Factory All-State Tournament Makenzie is a 2022 graduate who pitches and plays 1B. She communicates well and is a leader on the field. At 1B, she has good glove work. In the box, Makenzie has power with a smooth bat path. More lower half activation will directly increase her power even more. On the mound, she is a competitor. Her best is her curve ball with a velocity of 53MPH. She could use more arm speed and stronger more resistant front side to improve her game. Her changeup stays nice and low and keeps hitters off balance. Overall, Makenzie has the tools and skill set to further improve her game.
12/27/2020 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Prospects Makenzie is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who showed well during the Christmas Camp & Tournament. In the circle, Makenzie works through a quick delivery with a fluid arm. She shows a three pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 53mph. Screwball sits at 52mph with sharp movement. Curveball sits from 51-52mph. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. She gets into a simple load and drives through well with her lower half. She works through a smooth swing with explosive bat speed, leading to loud contact and great gap to gap power. In the field, Makenzie shows smooth footwork with a quick first step. She gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with a relaxed glove. Her exchange is clean and she gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through her target. Overall, Makenzie is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

In the circle, Makenzie works through a smooth delivery and commands her pitches well. She shows a five pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 56mph. Curveball, screwball, and drop ball all sit at 54mph with sharp movement. Her changeup is 41-46mph. In the field, Makenzie takes a good prep step and shows proper footwork to field. She makes the routine plays and works to make accurate throws to her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes her stride on time. She hits against a strong front side and produces gap to gap power. Overall, Makenzie is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.

In the circle, Mackenzie has a calm presence and good balance. She extends well through her release and has fluid arm action. Mackenzie has open hip direction and smooth mechanics. She stays tall through her finish and has good drive with her lower half. Mackenzie uses her curve ball and change up to keep hitters off balance at the plate. She has good command and hits her locations consistently. Offensively, Mackenzie has a tall stance with an on-time stride to contact. She loads and has smooth rhythm in the box. Mackenzie hits with a firm front side and has explosive bat speed. She has a direct swing path and makes hard contact. Mackenzie has lots of power and works up the middle of the field. Overall, Mackenzie is a strong athlete that will continue to build on all aspects of the game.
