12/27/2015 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Marissa returns to Softball Factory to show she is ready to work to take her game to the next level. Since her last outing Marissa made improvements to both her 20 yard-dash and home to 1B times. During game play Marissa was able to make game time adjustments and did a great job of communicating with her team. She is a gritty player that steps up to make outs in pressure situations. Offensively Marissa was a consistent line drive hitter with solid gap production at times. She has a team-oriented approach in the box and is able to put down the bunt when needed. Working to extend thru contact will allow Marissa to see consistency in her power production at the plate. Overall Marissa is a player that responds well to coaching and is a player that will work to be a difference maker at the collegiate level.
08/13/2015 - College PREP - Romeoville (Chicago), IL Marissa is a 2017 SS with a balanced skill set. At the plate, Marissa has a confident presence in the box with a great attitude and an ability to make adjustments. She will see in improvement in her timing by incorporating stride and load into her swing. Defensively, Marissa is a vocal leader who is not afraid to get dirty. She has an athletic pre-pitch position, strong arm, and good glove. She will benefit from developing a quicker and more fluid transfer. Overall, Marissa is a good kid with skills that can transfer to the next level.
