01/17/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Marla is an athletic RHP/SS who has a promising future on the field. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 52-54 mph. Changeup sits 42-44 with slight sink. Screwball sits 52-54 mph. Curveball sits 51-52 mph. Control is solid as she throws strikes with all her pitches. At SS, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Feet are quick as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry (60 mph velocity) across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she continue to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel and has strength (73 mph exit velocity) in her swing and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. With 3 years to further develop, Marla has a lot of potential and will get looks from the college coaches as she continues to progress her game.
