Defensively, she has present hands when fielding the ball and a strong throw to her target. She keeps her throws on line and moves through the ball well. She is vocal on the field and gives great effort every single play. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays fluid in her rhythm and center in her balance. She has the ability to spray the ball to all sides of the field and makes consistent contact. Overall, Matilyn is very coachable and has a great attitude.
