Defensively, May has effective footwork and has good range to her glove side. She takes good angles to the ball and has good feeds to her teammates at second for a smooth double play. She throws the ball with great backspin and makes on-line throws to her target. Offensively, May stands tall in her setup and takes a square stride to the ball. She stays fluid with her rhythm/timing in the box and hits with a firm front side. May squares the ball up and works well up the middle. She stays through the ball with good extension and hits the low pitch well. By engaging more of her lower half and working on her hand path to the ball, May will become stronger at contact and gain more consistency in every part of the zone. Overall, May is a young athlete with great potential. She will continue to improve and take every part of her game to the next level.
