In the box, Maya is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She creates smooth rhythm and makes hard, consistent contact. She is a line drive hitter that shows gap power. Seeing the ball deeper in the zone will allow her to see more consistency in her power production to all fields. In the OF, Maya has active footwork and takes nice angles to the ball. She reads the ball off the bat and does a nice job catching at the highest point. She gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Working to play through the ball will allow her to see more carry on the ball. At SS, Maya shows good range. She presents her glove on time and fields with sure hands. She makes accurate throws and provides good feeds on the double play. Making a quicker transfer will allow her to challenge quicker runners. Overall, Maya is a coachable player that will continue to improve her skill set.
