01/06/2018 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Melody is a 2019 right handed shortstop with a developing skill set. Defensively, Melody hustles and plays hard at her position. She displays accuracy in her throws and the ability to make routine plays. Her throws have carry and are on line to her target. She has good flips and smooth in her movements on double plays. By focusing on being lighter on her feet and her lateral movements, Melody will start to create longer range and quicker action. Offensively, she has good hand eye coordination. She stays square in her set up and shows power to her pull side. She makes good contact but by focusing on using her lower half more in her swing, Melody will produce more power. Overall, Melody adjusts well and hustles hard. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
