01/17/2014 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Vero Beach Michelle is a talented 2B with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, she uses an athletic fielding position with soft, sure hands and active footwork to make plays to various balls. Working on reads off the bat and playing through the ball will help to improve fluid footwork when taking routes to forehands and backhands. Overall, she makes adjustments quickly and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses an athletic set up with a short stride to produce contact. She shows potential and will benefit from bat extension as well as an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, she is eager to learn and apply and has solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
