10/12/2018 - College PREP - Plano, TX Mikaela is a 2022 outfielder with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has fluid and active footwork and displays solid range to both sides. She gets a good read off of the bat and stays light on her feet in the gaps. She positions herself well behind the ball to come through with good momentum through her throw. She has a quick exchange and stays short in her action to the ball. She makes accurate throws to her target and shows strength behind her release. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her lower half driving through to create solid pop in her contact. She has a fast bat through the zone and is smooth in her mechanics. Overall, Mikaela has a great attitude and is very athletic. She will make a great asset to a collegiate level team in her future.
