08/08/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Romeoville (Chicago), IL Mikayla is a 2025 right handed catcher and shortstop with a strong skill set. Behind the plate, she has effective footwork and gets over top of the ball well on her blocks. She frames each pitch in the zone and has a quick release on her throws to bases. At shortstop, she is active in her feet and moves well laterally. She stays low through each play and fields the ball out in front. She has a clean exchange and strong throws to her target. Offensively, she has a square stance in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She stays center in her balance and shows good power up the middle. Overall, Mikayla is very coachable and has a great work ethic.
