03/21/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Mikayla is an athletic C/3B who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed a range of 2.12-2.28 with accuracy on her throws. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, she displays smooth, fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (61 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 5 years to further develop, Mikayla has potential with time and room to progress her game.
