12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Miranda is a 2016 RHP/OF with a well-balanced skill set. On the mound, Miranda has great potential. She has free/fluid arm action, on time separation, and keeps her chest forward on her finish. She uses a three pitch package to attack hitters with the fastball being her best and good movement on her curveball. Miranda does an excellent job of changing speed between her fastball and changeup. She does a good job of fielding her position. In tournament play, she made several great defensive plays. In the OF, Miranda is athletic with good foot speed, ready hands, and an accurate arm. She is athletic and is great at carrying her momentum through her throws to the infield. At the plate, Miranda has good box presence and lots of power potential. She uses a slightly open stance, displays an activated load, and maintains centered balance throughout her swing. She takes a direct/level swing path and has the ability to hit the ball to the gaps with power. Miranda will see a significant increase in power when she stays in her legs and uses more drive in her lower half. Overall, Miranda is a talented player with the outstanding work ethic and attitude. She will without a doubt benefit a collegiate program in the future.
08/13/2014 - College PREP - Chicago, IL Miranda is a junior right-handed pitcher / outfielder with a balanced skill set. On the mound, Miranda uses an athletic setup; backwards hand positioning, and full arm swing to deliver the ball. She has smooth rhythm, drives in line to her catcher, and has a complete finish. Miranda uses a screwball / change up combination to attack each batter. She keeps her speed pitches in the low 60's and her change up around 50 mph. By working to develop more pitches, specifically a curve or drop, Miranda will be able to attack more parts of the zone. In the outfield, Miranda has a strong arm and sound throwing mechanics. She takes good angles to the ball and works to get behind the ball. Offensively, Miranda hits from the left side of the plate. She uses an open stance and a short stride to make a positive move to the ball. She has above average bat speed, a level swing, and maintains centered balance through contact. Miranda consistently makes contact and will benefit from incorporating the use of her lower half. Overall, Miranda has a tall, strong body style and a confident attitude. She will continue to develop as a player and prepare for the next level.
12/29/2013 - College PREP - Chicago, IL Miranda is a tall, right handed pitcher and outfielder with strong mound presence and good athleticism. As a pitcher, Miranda displays sound fundamentals with a complete finish, smooth rhythm and square shoulders. She has good break, speed, and power on her pitches and uses a full arm swing. In the outfield, she has soft hands coupled with agile range and takes good angles to the ball. In the box, Miranda has a square set up with centered balanced and uses a short stride. With a short bat path, she is aggressive to the ball and creates hard contact. Adding more extension after contact will allow her to see more power production in her swing. Overall, Miranda takes advantage of her athletic ability as a two position player.
