09/07/2014 - College PREP - Philadelphia, PA Morgan is a senior first baseman with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Morgan has good body awareness. She has quick and proper footwork that helps her create solid range to her glove side. Morgan works through the ball and has a smooth transfer into her throwing position. She makes low, accurate throws to the bags with good arm strength. By working on her pre-pitch movements and setup, Morgan will be able to react quicker to balls and increase her overall range. Offensively, Morgan uses a slightly closed stance and stride to make a positive move to the ball. She has on time rhythm and maintains centered balance while driving through contact. Morgan take a direct path to the ball and makes contact with a level barrel. She has raw power that will only increase by adding hip and leg drive to her swing. Overall, Morgan has the athletic look and hardworking attitude. She will continue to develop her skill work as a player.
