06/07/2020 - All-In Membership - Birmingham, AL Morgan is an athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the field. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond as she gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, hitting / power potential is outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick (65 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Barrel accuracy is a plus and utilizes lower half well with the ball exploding off the bat when centered. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 55-58 mph with tight spin. Changeup sits 45-49 with sinking action. Screw ball sits 55-57 mph. Curve ball sits 55-56 mph with tight spin and sharp / late action. Control is outstanding as she throws strikes with all her pitches. With 2 years to further develop, Morgan has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as she continues to progress her game.
