11/07/2013 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Naya is an evolving SS and RHP with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she relies on fundamentals to make plays. Working on using an athletic fielding position will help her to improve fielding position. As a RHP, she uses a short arm swing to facilitate with her delivery. Working on driving with legs and opening the hips will help her to improve velocity and movement. Overall, Naya is a hard worker and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a short stride before making contact. She shows potential and will benefit from a consistent stride and load and an explosive lower half to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Naya has a coachable attitude and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
