12/07/2014 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Olivia is a 2017 1B/RHP with a solid skill set. On the mound, Olivia is an athletic, vocal leader with a solid frame. She displays lots of explosion with her motion and good wrist snap. Olivia uses a myriad of pitches to challenge hitters. She has good spin in her screw ball and has effective speed change between her fastball and changeup. She needs to work on exploding off of the mound without crow hopping. At 1B, Olivia has good quickness, soft/ready hands, and a good understanding of the position. She needs to work on maintaining a low/athletic position when progressing from fielding position to throwing position. At the plate, Olivia does a lot of things right. She displays centered balance and on time rhythm. Olivia has good pop and the ability to hit with power to the gaps. Adding a load to her swing will help her create a little more bat angle at contact and allow her to see more consistency in her power production. Overall, Olivia is a talented player with skills that will transfer to the next level.
