05/29/2014 - College World Series Select Training Pamela is a junior center fielder with a developing skill set. In the outfield, Pamela came in with raw skill work. Throughout the week, Pamela made large strides during the drill sessions. She worked hard to understand the drills and to make adjustments in between reps. By working to stay low and to field the ball out in front of her body, Pamela will become a more efficient fielder. Offensively, Pamela uses a square setup in the box before moving to contact. She has above average bat speed and by working to keep her hands inside the ball Pamela will be able to add to her power numbers. Pamela will benefit from getting to the extension position and driving hard through the ball. Overall, Pamela is a good kid that works hard and will continue to develop with experience.
02/02/2014 - College PREP - Jacksonville, FL Pamela is an evolving outfielder with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she has an accurate arm and shows tremendous hustle on the field. Working on an athletic pre-pitch position, reads off the bat and soft hands will help her to improve her fielding efficiency. Overall, Pamela has an idea of the position and works hard. At the plate, Pamela uses a short stride with a level bat path and good bat speed to produce hard contact to the pull side. She shows potential for power and will benefit from an athletic set up, implementing a stride and load and utilizing the lower half will help to improve power on contact, ultimately, allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Pamela has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
