07/21/2019 - College PREP - Columbia, MD Rachel is a two-way prospect who continues to showcase her skills on the field. At 3B, Rachel makes the routine plays and shows off good arm strength across the diamond. Behind the plate, Rachel receives with soft hands and block well. She makes a clean exchange and keeps her throws accurate to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. She gets back into her load well and produces consistent contact. Overall, Rachel is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.
12/28/2018 - College PREP - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Rachel continues to improve her skill set and proves she is ready to take her game to the next level. In the box, Rachel is a RHH with raw power. She uses an athletic stance with a soft stride and centered balance. She loads her hands, creates smooth rhythm and generates explosive bat speed. She makes hard contact and is a consistent gap hitter. At 3B, Rachel has active footwork and shows good range. She presents her glove on time, fields with sure hands and makes a clean exchange. She does a nice job of getting in line with her target and makes accurate throws with carry. Behind the plate, Rachel is a vocal player. She uses an athletic stance, presents a good target and looks the ball in. She reads the ball in the dirt and moves to block well. Working to be fluid with her arm action will allow her to see more carry on the ball. Overall, Rachel has the work ethic and tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
06/19/2017 - Softball Factory World Series Rachel returns to Softball Factory to prove she has been working hard to take her game to the next level. Since her last outing, she has improved her defensive and offensive grades. During game play Rachel has a focused and consistent approach. She is able to work the count and delivers line drive production or take a base on balls. Working to create a consistent load will allow her to whip the bat through the zone and see more power production. At 3B Rachel uses the proper footwork and takes good angles. She communicates every play and is ready for the ball to come her way. She makes accurate throws and provides good feeds on the double play. Working to present her glove sooner will allow her to make a quicker transfer. Overall Rachel is a team leader on and off the field and will benefit a collegiate roster.
05/21/2017 - College PREP - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Rachel is a 2020 right handed third baseman and catcher with a developing skill set. Defensively, Rachel initially has a higher set up in her legs but shows a strong glove and field presence. She is accurate with her throws to her target and presents firm hands when sticking pitches in the zone. At third base she has a low field position with a quick exchange. She keeps the ball in front of her and shows strength in her arm. Offensively, She loads back through her legs and stays fluid through the zone. She makes hard contact and stays on time through her swing. She presents power her in swing but by focusing on not dropping her back shoulder she will see more consistency with her contact and even harder hit balls. Overall, Rachel is a great athlete and will work hard on what is needed to take her game to the next level.
