11/02/2014 - College PREP - Mobile, AL Raiven is an athletic 2018 SS with an advanced skill set. In the field, Raiven does a nice job of fielding the ball out in front, which allows her to push through the ball and a good transfer. Her is release is quick and she is consistent and accurate, giving her first baseman balls she can handle well. With good/clean footwork Raiven works well side to side. She has a fluid backhand and will make the tough play in the 5/6 hole. Adding more of a pre pitch to her approach will make transitions even easier for her. In the box Raiven has an athletic, square set up. She has good balance and her rhythm is fluid and on time to the ball. Raiven has a good bat angle at contact and has the tools needed for power production. Adding more extension to her finish will allow her to see that power production more consistently. Raiven will be an asset at the collegiate level with continued hard work.
