01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Reese Gill is a 2024 RHP and first baseman with a strong skill set. Offensively, Reese had a tall setup and soft stride to the ball. She was activated in her load and had balanced movements. She made hard contact consistently and was always a hard out. Defensively, she had a ready pre-pitch approach and was always anticipating a play. She had soft hands when fielding, clean exchange and an accurate throw to her targets. In the circle, she had a calm presence and mixed speeds and locations well. She extends through on her release, keeps an open hip direction, and has a fluid arm action. She is very consistent in her pitches and allows very few walks but has the ability to get ahead in the count and retire batters repeatedly. She threw the most strikes and is aggressive in her pre-pitch approach. She is able to defend her position and has good control of the game.
