08/18/2018 - College PREP - Sioux Falls, SD Rileigh is a strong, athletic catching prospect who is advanced behind the plate and can shut down the opponents run game (2.15 second pop time). She sticks pitches in the zone, working around the ball and receiving with a firm wrist. She is athletic to slide and block balls in the dirt with a downward chest angle to deaden the ball and recover quickly. A long toss program will improve arm strength and make her a complete backstop. At the plate, she works an opposite field approach to cover the entire zone and has a fast bat. She gets good extension through the ball and makes lots of hard contact, delivering the barrel consistently. Rileigh is a prospect we definitely want to continue following.
